"A bathroom is not a large space, and you could really make a big impact by fixing up the walls." Travis also made a point of adding new blinds to a bathroom during a recent renovation, according to the news source. Homeowners may want to install new wood blinds, to give the bathroom a natural warmth and serene country feel. The famed designer also let homeowners on a simple tip to create an opulent decor - decorate the ceiling with a painted border. "Use regular latex paint rather than ceiling paint when applying a decorative finish...Look for decorative stamps at your paint store, arts-and-crafts store or online," she suggested to the news outlet. Individuals who are changing their walls should opt to strip walls of paper before painting. The Natural Handyman warns that while paint may initially mask the wall covering, the paper's original seams, patterns and textures could still be visible.
