While regulating the color of window treatments may be common - permitting only white or light gray blinds - those who live with such restrictions can create a fantastic decor utilizing white faux wood blinds.

Condo-owners may want to consider installing cornices above their windows. These treatments are hung across the top of the window, and mounted outside the frame, so they are not visible from the outside. According to the Galway Advertiser, cornices complement windows and create an uncluttered look while infusing the room with color.
