Many people who own tool or garden sheds generally fill them up with junk and forget about them, but UKTV.com suggests that, with a little time and effort, these forgotten buildings can be turned into wonderful summer spaces for work or relaxation.

For the latter, the news source advises that the paints should be almost otherworldly, such as shades of muted greens or cobalt blues. Purchasing a few bright or jewel-colored cushions can enhance this effect. If the shed is by the garden, try matching the indoor shades with the outdoor flowers to seamlessly blend the spaces together.

An office setting, the news provider states, should be more traditional, with metal or wicker furniture. However, it's also suggested to avoid heavy colors due to the risk of turning the shed into a cave. Alternatively, you could transform the room into an outer dining area by placing a rustic wooden table in the center of the shed.

Experts advises using shutters to fully enclose this area. Since shutters are available in a range of different colors, they can match any theme you choose for your retreat. These can be used to close or open the space to the world and can also insulate the shed in the winter while keeping humidity out during the summer.
