The problem that I encountered was that all of the blinds except one arrived with the piece that operates the tilt of the blinds came out during shipping and did not work properly. It is a very small community with only about 3800 residents and it only covers about 9 square miles. The cities of Cave Creek and Scottsdale border the small town. Carefree is considered to be an upscale community with the average household income around $89,000. It is also interesting to note that when the community was started in the late 1950’s it was proud of its western heritage and named the streets things like Bloody Basin Rd. and Tranquil Trail. In the late 1960’s a production studio was built known as Southwestern Studios which produced many shows. The town of Carefree is about 20 miles from Bartlett Lake in the Tonto National Forest. There are many great trails for hiking and enjoying the outdoors when visiting Carefree.
