Are your Embassy 2" Faux Wood Blinds made from all lead-free materials or are they made using lead-containing PVC?

Aluminum blinds have not been known to contain lead, only vinyl mini blinds imported into the U.S. All of our faux wood blinds are made from lead-free materials.

In 1996 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission found hazardous levels of lead in mini blinds being imported into the U.S. Because the levels of lead could be harmful to young children they recommended that these window blinds be removed immediately and they are no longer imported into the U.S.

When mini blinds are made with lead, small children and pets are most susceptible to lead poisoning. When exposed to direct sunlight, the blinds deteriorate and the lead is released. By touching the blinds and then your mouth or by chewing the blinds one can be contaminated.
