Are your Tavarua Basics Bamboo Shades suited for a screened in deck?

The Tavarua woven wood shades we offer on our website are not designed for exterior use. Because they are a natural bamboo wood product exposure to the elements would over time damage any real wood. For example a wood deck must be re-finished every few years to protect it from the moisture.

If the bamboo shades are located on a screen deck where they would be protected from the elements then they could be used outside. Because they are designed for interior use they are not recommended.

We do offer a few exterior shades that are made from synthetic materials. They are in our solar screen shades. The fabric and the controls are designed for both interior and exterior use.
