Motorized Roller Shades - Lithium Batteries

I have questions about motorized roller shades. Do your roller shades use lithium or D batteries? How long between battery changes?

Our motors that operate the motorized roller shades use lithium batteries. The battery life varies based on use so it is hard to specify exactly how long they will last. The more you open and close the roller shades the more it shortens the life of the battery. Typical life for a window shade with regular use, opened and closed twice a day, is about 4 years.

We do offer hard wired motors that do not require batteries for the motors. These motorized roller shades must be plugged in or wired by an electrician.

The remote control that operates the motorized shades also used a battery but are standard alkaline batteries.
