What type of wood are venetian wood blinds made with?

Our venetian wood blinds are manufactured from real Basswood, grown in sustained forests. Basswood is perfect for venetian blinds because of its flexibility and strength. The wood is first kiln dried, to stabilize it, then cut into slats and stained.

Other vendors may use a cheaper alternative to basswood called ramen wood. Ramen wood will not resist warping as well as basswood so beware.
